MEDIUMS VS ADDITIVES
What is a medium?
Made with acrylic resin for adjusting how the paint works, feels and looks. Acrylic resin maintains or adds stability to the paint. They can be used to prepare the canvas, change the texture, modify the flow, alter the functional properties of the colour or protect your painting.
What is an additive?
Made without acrylic resin to adjust the chemistry of acrylic paints. With most acrylic mediums, you can add as much as you like to your colour without weakening the stability of the paint, while additives will dilute the strength. You need to be more careful about how much you mix into the paint.

ADDITIVES
Permanently adjust the chemistry and character of your acrylic colour. Made without acrylic binders, these 4 formulas are very different to the rest of the mediums range and they offer unique changes.
VARNISHES
A varnish is the final part of the process to seal and protect your work from dirt, dust and UV damage. We make 11 professional acrylic varnishes to use on all types of artwork, inside and outdoors.
GESSOES
Prime your surfaces ready for paint application, giving texture and a stronger foundation for structural work. You can choose between 5 specialised formulas: clear, white, grey, black and super heavy.
FLUID MEDIUMS
Choose a fluid medium to lower the viscosity of your acrylic paint or extend its volume. Select from 6 professional fluid formulas: Gloss, Satin, Matte, Ultra Matte, Slow-Dri and Palette Wetting Spray
GELS & PASTES
These options maintain your paint structure so it dries normally, thickens the paint, stays robust and keeps its archival permanence. Select from 10 formulas in a choice of weights and surface sheens.
EFFECTS
Customise acrylic colour in infinite by altering the behaviour of your paint. These 13 mediums cover all bases. You can add iridescence, get a viscous texture, create a crackle or paint on glass.
