Its important to refresh your tyres sealant levels periodically. The amount of time between refills will vary with environmental factors including temperatures, humidity, and the type of sealant youre using. After the long dark winter, sealant can dry up and limit its effectiveness on sealing punctures. To get the very best from sealant it's important to refresh your sealant after a few months to ensure a flat-free ride this Spring.

Easily convert from tubular to tubeless
Make punctures a thing of the past
Converting your bike to a tubeless tire system is an easy upgrade to just about any bike. In place of your tires inner tube, tubeless systems use a liquid sealant to repair punctures nearly instantly as they occur automatically. Without a tube, there are no punctured tubes or pinch flats, which occur when a conventional tube-and-tire setup compresses during a hard impact.
Can I use Stans Sealant in other brands of tubeless rims?
Yes, our sealant can be used in any tubeless application, including UST. Please follow your rim and tire manufacturers guidelines regarding the use of sealant.
How much sealant should I use?
For a XC 29er tire (2.0-2.2) we recommend 3-4 ounces (89-118ml) of sealant as a starting point. The amount of sealant can be adjusted based on the volume of the tire.
Can I add sealant to my tubes or tubular tires?
Yes, if the tube or tubular has a removable valve core. If there are two opposing flat surfaces just below the top of the valve, you can use our valve tool to unthread the core and sealant can be installed.
How long will the sealant last in my tire?
The sealant should last an average of 2-6 months depending on factors such as: temperatures and humidity in your area, how often you ride, where you store your bike
