Active Ingredients per 5ml: Levomenthol 4.0mg, Squill Tincture 0.6ml, Liquorice Liquid Extract 0.125ml Also contains: Peppermint Oil, Anise Oil, Capsicum Tincture (Capsicum Oleoresin, Ethanol), Sucrose, Liquid Glucose, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Sodium Methyl, Ethyl and Propyl Hydroxybenzoates (E215, E217, E219), Glycerol (E422) Caramel (E150), Purified Water, Sucrose: 1.53g per 5ml Alcohol: 7.7vol%
Directions
SHAKE THE BOTTLE. Dose: For Oral Use: Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: Take 1 or 2 x 5ml spoonfuls. Children 5-12 years: Take 1 x 5ml spoonful. The dose may be repeated every 4 hours if required. Not recommended for children under 5 years. DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE. If symptoms persist or worsen consult your doctor. Do not take if you know you are sensitive to any of the ingredients listed or if you suffer from a heart complaint. Precautions. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if: you are taking carbenoxolone for stomach ulcers, or thiazides which are diuretic medicines (water tablets). This product may interact with these drugs. Pregnancy and Breast Feeding. As with all medicines you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if pregnant or breast feeding. Ingredients Guidance. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients listed. This product contains 7.7 vol% ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 600mg per 10ml dose, equivalent to 15ml beer, 6ml wine per dose. Harmful for those suffering from alcoholism. To be taken into account in pregnant or breast feeding women, children and high risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy. Contains glucose and sucrose. Each 5ml dose contains 1.53g sucrose, to be taken into account in patients with diabetes. If you know that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. Also contains sodium methyl, ethyl and propyl hydroxybenzoates (E219, E215, E217) which may cause an allergic reaction (possibly delayed). IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TAKE TOO MUCH see a doctor straight away. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the label. Side Effects. Side effects do not occur very often when the correct dose is taken but possible side effects are: allergic reactions (dermatitis, skin rashes, flushing and itching lumps), low blood potassium levels, sodium and water retention. Unbalanced potassium and sodium levels may produce symptoms of muscle weakness, confusion, disorientation and heart irregularities. If you do notice any side effects, stop using the product and tell your doctor or pharmacist.
