Description
Acclaim is a household flea spray to help get rid of adult fleas, eggs and larvae in your house. Not to be sprayed on animals.
It also kills dust mites.
Why do I need to spray the house?
Only 5% of the flea population lives on your pet.
The remaining 95% lives in your house.
When fleas are found on your pet it is therefore very likely that you have an infestation in your house already. Acclaim\u24c7, together with a flea preventative for your pet,
will help clear the infestation from your home.
If the infestation is severe, be prepared that it may take a few months
to get rid of the flea population, so be patient.
Why do I need to spray the house?
Remove all pets (including fish) and children from the room being treated.
Vacuum thoroughly.
Shake the bottle well before spraying. Carefully spray all the surfaces, like carpets, pet bedding, baskets and rugs.
CAUTION: Avoid spraying plastic or polished surfaces. If you want to treat a delicate material, spray a small test area first for reaction. Read the label before use.
You will get the best results if you hold the bottle around 40cm away from the surface you are treating. Spray for 13 seconds per square metre of surface.
Repeat after 7 days as required.
Vacuum every other day to encourage pupae to hatch.
The Flea Life Cycle
The majority of the flea population (95%) doesn’t live on your pet, it is in the environment around your pet, such as your house.
The adult fleas that we see on our pets are just the tip of the iceberg. Pupae, larvae, and eggs reside in our carpets and crevices in the floor.
Pupae are very resilient and can survive for up to 5-6 months under the right conditions.
This is why it is important to regularly treat your pet for fleas as an infestation in your home can be very difficult to get rid of.
