Important Note for Winter Orders
Basically, solar technology in Northern locations is challenged by three factors.
1) In the winter, the days are shorter and the nights are longer — resulting in limited sun exposure for solar panels to charge their batteries.
2) Ideal solar lighting locations near the equator benefit from the sun’s location directly overhead. The further north you move, the lower the sun sits in the sky, limiting the quality of the sun’s energy hitting the solar panel.
3) The winter's frigid climate certainly presents a multitude of challenges too, which leads less energy being absorbed by solar panel, therefore, even in sunny days of winter, solar battery charges much slower than summer.
So before purchase, we have to bear in mind the fact that these solar lights are supposed to work less hours in winter, and please be patient that when summer comes, they will light up throughout all night until morning again.

Solar charge up quickly

Need charge first
Interesting! They don’t have switch for these solar deck lights, so that lights can not turn off and battery runs out before delivery. Therefore, they won't come on when taking out from package, but keep them in the strong sunlight for 6 hours and they will start up and stay on for hours at night.
No good for shaded sides
The solar charging of these solar pathway lights work perfectly fine. But certainly no good for shaded sides of the building, sun facing really is key with these little gems. Put outdoor solar step lights to direct and strong sunlight to get sufficient charge, so the lights last longer hours at night.
