Polyurethane adhesive and sealant with high strength BDPU18BL is a versatile high strength polyurethane adhesive and sealant for a wide range of construction, automotive, marine & engineering applications. With good chemical and abrasion resistance, BDPU18BL is an ideal solution for expansion joints due to its elastic properties. It can withstand vibrations and dampen vibration effectively due to its excellent elasticity characteristics. BDPU18BL is a one-part, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive and sealant with a shore A hardness rating of 35, for the construction and transport industries. This adhesive and sealant produces tough elastic seals and joints with excellent adhesion characteristics, which helps to dampen vibration. BDPU18BL is also oil-resistant making it ideal for the engineering industry.
BDPU18BL can be used with a wide range of materials such as concrete, wood, aluminum, ceramic, polyester, glass, stone, brick, GRP, PVC, Rubber, and many more. This adhesive and sealant can be used with many materials as it is oil-resistant and ideal for vibration applications. The skinning time of BDPU18BL is 70 minutes, and its thickness polymerises after 24 hours at a temperature of 23°C, and 50% RH. The application temperature of BDPU18BL is between +5°C and +30°C, and it has a density of 0.13 g/cm³ at 4°C. The maximum elongation at break of BDPU18BL is over 600% and has a modulus of elasticity of ISO 8339: >600 kPa, while its elastic recovery ISO 7389 is >80%. BDPU18BL is suitable for use between -30°C and +80°C and is not suitable for use on aquaria or asphalt applications. Cartridges should be warmed to room temperature before use to avoid any limitations.
