OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil
The OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil with a solid content of 60% for the interior treatment of wood combines the best properties of wax and oil. While the oil penetrates the wood and protects it from the inside, the wax forms a robust and water-repellent surface film.
The wood remains open-pored, can continue to breathe and thus has a positive effect on the indoor climate. The natural colour and grain of the wood are discreetly accentuated and the surface feels pleasant. The hard wax oil is very productive. It only needs to be applied once or twice with a brush or roller.
The surface is easy to maintain and can also be renovated in parts. In 2017 the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) awarded the OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil the quality seal "allergy-friendly quality tested".
The hard wax oil is ideal for all leached, untreated, sanded or new wood surfaces, but is also suitable for coarse chipboard (OSB) and cork indoors. Whether for wood or frame furniture, wall coverings, doors or kitchen furniture, parquet floors or stairs - it produces a resistant wood surface with excellent resistance to household chemicals and liquids.

Easy to apply
Depending on the area of application, the material is applied thinly and evenly in one or two working steps with a brush, a ball, a microfibre roller (5 mm) or an oil brush, so that the entire wood surface is glossy wetted. For furniture subject to normal wear, a single application is usually sufficient.
Floors, stairs or highly stressed furniture, require more protection. Here a second coat is recommended, which is buffed in with a white pad by hand or polishing machine. Depending on the sanding and absorbency of the wood, approximately 40 g/m\xb2 per coat is sufficient. This corresponds to about 25 m\xb2 per litre for one application and about 13 m\xb2 for two applications. In a normal climate, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully hardened after 2-3 days.
The drying process is recognisable by the characteristic oil smell. However, the smell disappears when the oil has hardened. It is important that the application is evenly thin. If the layer thickness is too high, the oil will no longer harden properly and, in the worst case, will remain on the surface as a sticky film. In this case, the wood is saturated and no more oil can be absorbed.
Special attention should be paid to oil-soaked cloths, pads or brushes that can ignite themselves through heat accumulation! Simply clean them after use or store them under water.
Tested quality
OLI-NATURA has been awarded the ECARF seal ("allergy-friendly quality tested"). It consists of modified vegetable oils, such as soy oil, and waxes, such as refined carnauba wax, dearomatized hydrocarbon and lead and cobalt-free drying agents. We deliberately avoid the use of critical substances such as preservatives, formaldehydes, aromatics, biocides, cobalt salts and oximes.
In combination with atmospheric oxygen, the product dries out to form an open-pored and breathable surface film. Due to the diffusion openness (water vapour permeability), the treated wood can store moisture from the room air and release it again if necessary. This improves the room climate and increases the well-being of people.
The cured material is harmless for humans, animals and plants. It is food safe and complies with DIN EN 71-3 (safety of toys) and DIN 53160 (saliva and perspiration fastness). It is a building product approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).

Optics and Haptics
The "OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil" preserves the originality of the wood. It gives the wood a natural and slightly colour-deepening appearance. The pores remain open and the grain is beautiful.
The wood surface feels pleasantly warm and velvety soft. The effect is rounded off when the oil is massaged into the wood with a white pad. This gives the surface a noticeably natural mattness. Without polishing, the surface appears slightly glossier.
Care and Cleaning
Only a few maintenance activities are sufficient to keep the surface in a permanently beautiful condition. Dust deposits, for example, are simply wiped off with a dry, possibly damp cloth.
Parquet floors, on the other hand, should be vacuumed or swept daily as sand and dust can cause fine scratches. Sticky dirt can be quickly removed with a mild wood soap. It is important to avoid over-moisture and standing moisture.
From time to time the wood treated with hard wax oil should be treated with "OLI-NATURA Wood Care Wax". Thus the protective effect is renewed and slight scratches are compensated. After such a treatment the wood is antistatic and therefore attracts less dust.
In addition, the surface treated with hard wax oil can be easily repaired, which is not possible with lacquered surfaces. The area in need can easily be partially sanded and treated without having to renovate the entire surface.
