Prepare the damaged area by carefully removing paint chips and cleaning it with a damp cloth. Let it dry thoroughly.
Use the wood putty for damaged areas larger than 1/4 of an inch.
Apply the repair compound to the chip or dent along the edges first, working from the outside to the center to avoid air bubbles.
Smooth out the surface and wipe off the excess with a paper towel. Allow it to dry until it's no longer sticky.
