One such iconic spacecraft is the U.S.S. Enterprise, famously featured in the TV show "Star Trek". Revell offers a plastic model kit of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, affectionately known as "The Original Series".
This Revell model kit is a highly detailed reproduction of the original television series U.S.S. Enterprise, featuring a large area saucer construction, multi-part warp nacelles, and many transparent parts including Bussard collectors. It is a Skill Level 3 kit, which means it is suitable for beginners who are just starting out in model building but still challenging enough for those with more experience. As the Revell system has a five-level rating for the Skill Level, this kit falls into level 3, which is considered suitable for beginners and children over 10 years old.
Revell recommends a list of products, including Revell Aqua Color acrylic paints for achieving the most optimal paint job for a model that has been detailed down to the smallest surface. To achieve this, we recommend the Revell Contacta Professional paint for the best possible bond, as well as other paintbrushes, glue, and cleaning supplies such as pipettes and brush cleaner.
When assembling this model kit, we suggest a basic set of tools such as sprue cutter, file, tweezers, hobby knife, and quality paint brushes, including brush cleaner, as well as the three best quality pipettes and other items needed to apply Revell's top-quality paints and decals to the model. We recommend having all of the above items beforehand as you can never be too prepared when building a model kit.
As for the instructions and decals included in the kit, it is worth noting that this is not a remotely-controlled model. It requires assembly and painting by hand. It is recommended to consult with otherRevell models before assembly starts. Once everything is done, you may paint it to give it its true-to-the-original appearance, and with 25g of glue for just that!
Revell's paintbrushes and pipettes, and glue can all be found in the kit, but you can always replace them with others of equal or even higher quality, should the need arise. Finally, keep in mind that you can use the kit only for non-profit and non- commercial activities, as mentioned above.
