The AZDelivery 3M Cable DS18B20 Digital Temperature Sensor provides from 9-bit to 12-bit Celsius temperature measurements and has an alarm function with non-volatile, user-programmable high and low trigger points. The sensor does not require standby power, meaning that when temperature data is not being read, the sensor does not consume any power at all.
Each sensor has a unique 64-bit serial address, so multiple sensors can operate on the same one-wire bus. There is also a bus technology of 1-Wire. The unique 1-wire interface allows the sensor to use only one port pin to communicate with a microcontroller.
There are three meters of cable length, which provides scope for attaching the sensor. This makes it suitable for outdoor use due to its waterproof cable.
The sensor can take power directly from the data line (this mode is called " Parasite Power" mode), eliminating the need for an external power supply.
