Description

Nicoline 5mm Cork Floor Tiles are specially formulated for floors, Nicoline Cork floor Tiles are natural, medium sized granules of cork incorporating thousands of tiny air cells that trap the air and keep it warm. This principle gives a natural cork tile its excellent heat and sound insulation.
Cork is created from the outer bark which is stripped from the Cork Oak Tree (the tree is not cut down) and then the bark re-grows and is harvested every nine years, once they reach maturity. It doesn't harm the tree, and the cork bark regrows. Most cork forests are in Portugal. The year of harvest is marked on the trunk, so each tree isn't harvested at the wrong time. Some trees can live up to 200 years old.
