Product description
Product specification: 5cm wide, 5m long, 1.5mm thick. White Color made of durable anti-aging elastic butyl. The tape is suitable for all outdoor sealing works and adheres to wood, stone, plastic, steel, concrete and glass.
The self-adhesion works since 10 \xb0 C or after heating. Can be used between -15 \xb0 C to 45 \xb0 C.
The repair tape is with great quality and the pri*ce is even lower than the comparable bands from the hardware store.
You can use it to form a groove on the garden shed roof edge to seal it. Looks neat and is 100% waterproof.
Warm hints
The sealing tape is easy to use. But you should remember always peel only a small piece of backing film, because of the strong adhesive, the tape may accidentally sticks to the place you don't want.
The to-be-sealed surface should be clean and dry. Remove moss and sand beforehand, wait until the surface is completely dry.
With a little pressure, it can stay well on almost all surfaces. Therefore it can bridge small cracks or transitions well. For bigger unevenness, you should use bitumen to flatten it beforehand.
In cold weather, you can heat the tape on a heater and press it to the needed place with the help of hot air gun.
When it is warm and sunny (25 to 30 \xb0 C), the roof will get hot. The bitumen layer may stick to the backing film. In this case, put the butyl tape in the fridge for half an hour, then it will work well again.
To ensure the install effect, the butyl tape's adhesive is very strong. Once it sticks on the surface, it won't easily let go. So, be sure to peel only a small piece of backing film every time. The good side is the tape do weld to the surface.
It will be better to use scissors to cut the tape, the bitumen would more easier sticks to blades if use knives.
Tools such as scissors, knives, spatulas etc. can be cleaned with lacquer thinners, hands also. Soap and water won't do much help. We recommend to WEAR DISPOSABLE GLOVES while working. Not suitably for water sufficient places and water pipes.
