Using a QETTLE is safe and easy
Using a QETTLE couldn't be easier or safer. The lever handle is used for flows of normal hot and cold water. The round handle is used for dispensing 100\xb0C boiling water and filtered drinking water. To dispense boiling water, the safety clip must be removed. Then, the button on the top of the round handle must be pressed down, whilst the handle is turned clockwise.
For filtered drinking water, the round handle is turned anti-clockwise.
Activating the flow of boiling water is a precise, exacting action. All QETTLE taps come with a safety clip, which must be removed before boiling water can be activated. Without removing the clip, boiling water cannot be dispensed.
QETTLE is simple and straightforward to install
The QETTLE system is a simple and straightforward installation for a qualified plumber. Your QETTLE tap should be up and running in just a few hours.
Please note that water pressure should always be measured before installation. QETTLE taps require a minimum of 1.5 bar pressure; if pressure exceeds 5 bar, a pressure reducing valve (PRV) should be fitted. You will need a normal, 13 amp power socket below the kitchen sink to plug the boiler tank into. Take extra care if you have a water softener or waste disposal unit. Softened water should not be fed to the boiler tank and QETTLE systems should always use the waste pipe that is supplied with the system.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Standard QETTLE taps are not suitable for commercial/workplace use. A separate QETTLE Commercial Installation Kit is required for Commercial installations.
