    Description

    This 20x4 LCD Display Module with an integrated HD44780 controller
    enables the display of 4 rows of 20 characters each in white text on a blue background, and is controlled by Raspberry Pi etc.
    The 20x04 LCD screen has a HD44780 driver chip. The micro-controller communicates with the driver chip to control the screen.
    Every pixel area can be turned ON/OFF by introducing the electricity through an on-board controller chip.
    The module is a low-power consumption LCD Module with a built-in controller, its LED back-light enables viewing in dim lighting conditions.
    The unit uses the HD44780 interface found in most parallel character displays.
    To control the screen, one of the two parallel modes can be used, 8-bit or 4-bit mode.
    In the 8-bit mode, all 8 data pins (D0 – D7) are used, and in the 4-bit mode, only 4 data pins (D4 – D7) are used.
    The VO pin uses analog voltage to set up the screen contrast level. Hardware contrast adjustment can be done by using voltage divider or potentiometer.
