Our kraft paper biro pens (black) are made from Natural Materials
. The barrel and lid are made from entirely recyclable kraft paper tape
. Some "green" pens have plastic ink cores, but instead we use premium stainless steel
ink cores which are completely recyclable. This all makes our product Environmentally Conscious

Unfortunately, most of us regard pens as disposable, but that's a lot of plastic for landfill! Instead, choose our recyclable pens and reduce your plastic pollution. Our sustainable biro pens are really very simple: kraft paper tape barrels & lids, stainless steel cores, and ink. That's it. No funny business. Our eco pens are completely recyclable and the kraft paper barrels and lids break down biologically, (can be removed via long soaking in warm water). You can rest assured that your green pens will eventually return to the earth.

Eco Packaging
Unfortunately, many "green" products come delivered in plastic, well not us! Our sustainable black biro pens come in plastic free packaging. Simple cardboard which breaks down biologically, or can be recycled or burned. What more could you want from packs of pens?

So what's it made of?
Kraft Paper Lid
Our pen lids are made from kraft paper - the same stuff that is often used as a bubble-wrap alternative.
It is essentially a rough, un-bleached, paper pulp. This means kraft paper is renewable, recyclable and can even breakdown biologically.
Imagine that, bio degradable pen lids!
Kraft Paper Barrel
Similar to the lid, the barrel is also made from kraft paper.
This grade of kraft paper is much thinner and is self adhesive on one side.
If you look near the nib you can see how the barrel has been formed by wrapping a coil of kraft paper around the ink chamber.
This means that our barrel is a great alternative to plastic and is recyclable and bio degradable!
Stainless Steel Ink Chamber
No horrid plastic cores in our pens!
*While these ink chambers are plastic free, they will not break down biologically.
However, they are recyclable!
And even if your ink cores do end up in landfill, fear not! Stainless steel corrodes and breaks down over time, meaning your eco pen will eventually return to the earth.
How do I dispose of my eco pen when it runs out of ink?
However awesome our eco pens may be, they will eventually run our of ink...
But hey, nothings meant to last forever - (looking at you plastic!

The materials we use make disposal really easy.
Recycle
- Kraft paper and stainless steel are both recyclable, so you can just pop the whole thing in recycling.
Breaks Down Biologically*
- Kraft paper breaks down biologically. If you're a really keen bean you can separate it from the ink chamber by soaking it in water over night. Unfortunately, the steel ink chamber will still need to go in the recycling.
Landfill
- Don't worry, we're all only human. If your eco pen does end up in landfill you can rest easy with the knowledge that it will still eventually degrade and corrode away to dust. Don't sweat it!
