Is this tape waterproof?
Unknown. No evidence to classify the tape as "waterproof". But it seals very well and seems to cling very well to itself. I would offhand classify it as at least "water resistant". Not guaranteed to function when submerged in water for extended periods of time.
Is this tape safe for walls?
The adhesive is not gooey like duct tape. I pulled back a piece that I used on laminated wood almost a year ago and it came right off with no residue. My guess is that it would be a perfect application to cover speaker wires.
Will this tape work for paint masking on my boat?
I doubt it. Generally masking tape has a kind of gentle adhesive that lets it be removed easily. This stuff is pretty sticky and might pull off the paint underneath, especially if the paint under it isn't fully hardened.
