UV Stabilised Polycarbonate
We’ve designed the cold frame with durable polycarbonate windows which are UV-stabilised to prevent them bowing or warping in the sun. Plus, it helps to keep them well protected from fading and discolouration when exposed to the sun’s harmful UV rays.
Provides Optimum Sunlight
Every side of the frame is fitted with a polycarbonate window, so crops and plants can absorb sunlight regardless of the direction the frame is facing. Polycarbonate also diffuses light better than glass to create a perfect microclimate and provide your plants with optimum sunlight.
Double Hinged Lid
The cold frame has a double hinged lid which you can open up to easily increase the level of ventilation and prevent your crops from overheating on hot, sunny days. Steel sliding lifts allow you to open the lid as little or as wide as you want to without the need to prop it open.
Slanted Roof With Holes
There’s no need to worry about leaving the cold frame outside in the rain or snow. Because the frame is taller at the back and lower at the front, it has a sloping lid for easy drainage. The frame of the lid also has drainage holes to prevent the rain or snow accumulating at the bottom.
Lightweight to Relocate
The frame measures L100cm x W65cm x D40cm (approx.) and is lightweight to easily move around your garden. This allows you to place it over bedding plants during the winter months and relocate it the following season when you’re starting your seedlings or ripping them.
