Regarding Partrition on PC/MAC: select MBR(GUID or NTFS is not supported).
Regarding Refromatting: selectexfat or FAT 32format.(our idiskk max support format the USB Stick directly by go to setting ).
Regarding back up 3rd app, iTunes music, photos, videos, etc. are all CAN'T be back up directly due to the DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected.
Does not support to download the files from iCloud directly to iDiskk photo stick. If you've used iCloud before to back up files, Pls make sure you download the videos/photos first from iCloud to your iPhone/iPad , then you can copy them to the iPhone USB flash drive,otherwise will fail to back up files.
Once you set up password to your files,there is no way to retrieve your password unless you format the iPhone memory drive ,so before you set the password pls make sure you will remember it.
When back up files between USB-C devices,pls make use that your mobiles support OTG function and this function is turned on.
You need to install "iDiskk Max" app from App Store before connecting with your iPhone/iPad.for computer no need to download app,just plug and play.
About "timemachine"back up. Users can only choose between Apple accessories and time machine backup.Our storage U disk and hard disk app only support FAT32 and EXFAT, time machine is completely different format. The hard disk formatted by the time machine can only be used by the time machine backup device, no longer use our app.Switching between the two can only be done by formatting, grinding away all data already stored on the hard disk by EXFAT format and switching to the mode the user wants.
