Outer Diameter Measuring
Measuring the outer diameter of objects with the long jaw.
Using Tip 1: While measuring the outside diameter with vernier caliper the plane of the measuring tips of the calipers must be perpendicular to the center line of the work piece.
Inner Diameter Measuring
Measuring the inner diameter of objects with the top jaw.
Using Tip 2: Please make sure to grip the measuring object gently with the jaws. This is extremely important while measuring objects which are easily deformable
Depth Measuring
Measuring the depth of the hard-to-reach objects with the tailed long probe.
Using Tip 3: Loosen the locking key of the vernier caliper and make sure there is no friction between the scales while moving the jaws of the vernier caliper

PRECAUTION:
- Measuring Force: Do not apply excessive force to the workpiece. The excessive measuring force will develop measurement error because of the positional deviations of the jaws.
- Positional Error: Measurement position of the large size vernier caliper should be consistent if the positional error is to be avoided. Measurements in a vertical position may be different from those in a horizontal position.
CAUTION:
- The outside and inside measuring jaws of this caliper have sharp edges. Handle it with great care to avoid injury.
- Do not measure the workpiece if it is rotating to avoid the risk of injury by being caught in the rotating machine.
