Re-applying is easy
Simply take off the used chain from your bike, place it back in the hot wax bath and the chain is cleaned and fully optimised without having to degrease the chain ever again.
Please Note - we advise wiping the outside of the chain with a damp cloth to avoid adding dirt to the wax, if you have used it for off-roading in mud then we advise running the chain under boiling water to remove any mud etc

What do the components do?
Enigma has a unique blend of components, each of which have their own characteristics and when added in the correct ratios can significantly reduce the friction in a bicycle chain.
Each component is key to achieving the ultimate in drivechain efficiency, whether it be the 3 particle size PTFE which has been developed over a number of years or the MOS2 and WS2 which help to smooth out any imperfections and scratches in the chain surfaces.
All these features mean you can save up to 8 watts compared to liquid lubricants.
Waxing is simple
After you have deep cleaned the chain at the start of your waxing journey, you simply place the chain in the molten wax, allow the chain to soak.
Retreating is simple - just take the used chain off the bike, place back in to molten Enigma wax and repeat (please note - if you have ridden in heavy dirt then run the chain under boiling water to remove excess dirt).
No further degreasing of the chain is required, the wax bath cleans and applies new lubricant.
