A:This universal power cable comes fitted with a 13 Amp fuse and would therefore be designed for at least 2kW of power draw. Your 1000W PC PSU is well below that, it'll be fine. For least risk, connect this straight into a wall socket, or if you're going to use an extension lead, use no more than one and don't overload it with too many additional loads.

Q:I have iball smps on my desktop computer which accpts 230 vac 50/60hz input. will it work? by mistake i ordered 250v cable and it is not working.
A:UK mains used to be about 250Vac. It's been gradually reduced to 230vac. If the cable can handle 250vac then it can handle 230vac no problem. UK mains is 50Hertz, USA mains is 60Hertz. That connector can handle both easily. It's unlikely but not impossible that the connector is faulty. Can you plug it into something else, try it at work? The SMPS is more likely to be faulty.
