Description
Because of the design of Temposhade, you only need a pair of scissors to cut them to size.
No craft knives, no saws... no hospital visits!
Easy to Fit
Just peel off the pre-fitted tape, position the blinds, then stick them in place.
The tape will stick to PVC and glass really well.
It may stick to mature painted wood, but it's not suitable for brick, newly painted surfaces or any surface with a silicone coating.
Please be careful, do not damage your decoration. The tape is strong and suitable for attaching to glass or PVC.
Overlap Temposhade to Get Full Privacy or Even a Better Dim-Out
Temposhade are 91.4cm wide, but you can overlap them to cover any window size. If you want them look pleasing to the eye, simply cut them to size with a 5cm overlap.
Clip Temposhade into Position
Once your Temposhade Temporary Blinds are fitted, you can use the supplied clips to hold them at a height that you choose. There are no strings or dangerous loops. You simply fold the blind up and use the clip to hold the position.
If left in the down position for a long time, you may find that the blind is more difficult to fold up again. This is normal, since it's a disposable temporary blind, which is made of paper and it can't hold it's pleat for too long.

ALCOHOL CLEANING WIPES
We give you 6 x alcohol cleaning wipes with each box.
Clean the surface first with a degreaser (not furniture polish!).
Use the alcohol wipe before you attach the blinds to the glass or PVC.
COLOURED HOLDING CLIPS
Each blind comes with 2 holding clips (that's 12 per box).
The holding clips are used for holding the blinds up to the desire position during the daytime.
(Black clips shown, natural white pins are provided for the white product).
Additional clips are available for purchase from our Amazon store.
PUSH PINS
Each blind comes with 24 push pins.
Should you be fixing to plasterboard or wood, these pins will help hold the blind up in addition to (or instead of) the tape.

OVERLAP TO COVER GLASS WIDER THAN THE BLIND
Lay out two blinds on the sill
Blinds should be slightly oversized
so that the overlap covers any gaps nicely. We recommend that blinds are cut 5cm wider than the overlap position.
Stick the first half to the window
Carefully stick the first blind up on the window. Before you commit to a fitting position, check if the blind will fall plumb with the side wall.
Stick the second half to the window
Having positioned the first half so well, do the same with the second half, again checking how the blind will sit against the side wall before you press down on the sticky tape.

DIM-OUT OPTION
The
dim-out black
blinds will not allow light to pass through the paper, but light may still pass around the sides of the blind.
LIGHT FILTERING OPTION
The light-filtering white
blinds will allow light to pass through the paper.
Both options provide privacy, you can't see through them.
IMPORTANT POINTS

Blinds are 91.4cm wide, and can be overlapped to cover wider windows
Blinds are designed to cover 180cm in drop, but can stretch to 200cm if flat
These are for temporary blinds and not designed for long term use
In some circumstances the tapes can leave a residue on the fixing surface, which can be removed with an alcohol cleaning agent or non solvent cleaner
REMOVING RESIDUE AFTER LONG TERM USE
Adhesive tape residue looks like this
After long term use of the product you may see a residue left over from the sticky tapes.
The tape can be removed with a cleaning agent or non solvent cleaner (such as De-Solv-it Sticky Stuff Remover).
Another option is to use a blade and window cleaner.
Give it a scrape first
Ideally, use a new craft knife blade in a holder.
If you don't have one to hand then a stanley type blade (shown above) works as well.
Start at one edge of the tape and work across the window.
If removing glue from PVC, be a little more careful to keep the blade flat against the PVC to ensure it doesn't get scratched.
Then clean the glass
It's likely that there will still be some glue marks remaining.
They can be easily cleaned with a standard window cleaning spray.
Just spray and clean like you would clean the glass normally.
