Giant Tumble Tower Rules
\u200bTumble Tower Rules \xa0 \xa0 \xa0 This large size version of perhaps the most popular indoor game of the last decade has been made by Jaques using Solid wood from sustainable forests.\xa0 Suitable for indoor, the set packs away for easy storage. \xa0 The rules are simple.
The tiles are initially built into a tower in alternate rows of 3. Any number can play. Each player plays in rotation, and removes any tile from the tower and carefully places it on top of the tower.\xa0 The first person to cause the tower to fall is out. The remaining players build a new tower and start again.\xa0 Eventually the last turn is between the 2 players left ‘in’ and when the tower falls the other player wins.\xa0 A simple game but endless fun, for players of all ages
Why Jaques ?
Since being established in 1795, Jaques have remained at the forefront of innovation in the sports and games industry, inventing some of the World’s most famous and popular games including Happy Families, Tiddley-Winks, Ludo and Snakes & Ladders. \xa0 Furthermore, in 1839 Jaques made the popularisation of Chess possible with the creation of an easily produced and instantly recognisable set of Chessmen as part of their famous Howard Staunton Chess set and in 1901 Jaques turned the parlour game of Gossima into Ping Pong, which would later become known as Table Tennis and the World’s most popular racket sport. \xa0 But perhaps Jaques’ most notable achievement was the invention of the ever-popular game of Croquet for which John Jaques II won a place in sporting history and a Gold Medal for at the Great Exhibition in 1851. \xa0 Outside of mainstream production Jaques have also made a significant contribution to the British history books over the years. In the early twentieth century John Jaques IV was commissioned by Queen Mary herself to create a miniature Staunton Chess Set for the Queen’s dolls house and during World War II Jaques’ expert craftsmen were recruited by MI9 to design and produce concealed tools to help prisoners of war escape as part of the allied war effort. \xa0 As they have throughout their history, Jaques of London today maintain their commitment to innovation and manufacturing excellence, hand-crafting many of their products in England from the finest materials.
