Ahmad Tea’s Darjeeling is a distinguished brew for discerning tea lovers. Delicate yet complex, floral yet fruity, it takes your taste buds on a journey of discovery.Nestled in India’s Mahabharata Mountain Range (aka the ‘lesser Himalayas’), Darjeeling is a very special tea region. At an altitude of around 2000 metres, the hilly tea gardens here only produce teas in certain seasons. Each season gives its own character to the teas.Our Tea Masters use first flush teas from the spring harvest. This is when the young leaves offer their freshest and most floral character. They blend these with teas from the summer harvest. By this point the leaves are more mature, giving the brew its richer, fruitier notes, which are often said to resemble Muscat grapes.Bright and golden in the cup, Ahmad Tea’s Darjeeling has a refreshingly brisk taste with a fine balance of flavours. The tea is lovely at any time of the day, and we love it in the afternoons, served without milk to reveal all of the tea’s fragrances and crisp finish. Directions

Step 1: Warm the teapot with hot water. Having a cold teapot will cool the water so the tea won’t brew properly. Give the water a little swirl around and then pour it away. Step 2: Use a teaspoon or tea measure to scoop the loose tea into the teapot. We recommend one teaspoon per person and one extra teaspoon for the pot. Step 3: Fill your kettle with freshly drawn water and bring it to the boil. Step 4: Pour the water straight onto the tea and pop a tea cosy over the pot to keep it as hot as possible. Leave for a minimum of four minutes to help it brew properly. Step 5: Give the pot a quick stir to mix it up a little bit and then serve. Add milk, lemon or sugar and enjoy your cup of Ahmad Tea.
