Smoke Hood/Canopy for open Coal and Wood fires etc PLEASE NOTE: This Smoke Hood / Canopy is Designed to fit INTO the Fireplace Opening. ie The 16 into a 16 Opening . 16"inch does measure 16 1/4 inch please check your measurements this should still fit into a 16inch opening but will not fit all. For use with an open fire reduces the Height of the opening. Helps to increase the draw and eliminate smoke coming into the room. It fits in between the trim and is held in place with a rod with long nuts on each end to tension it.
