Tip: It's easy to test whether a needle needs to be changed or not.
To determine whether a needle needs to be replaced or not, move your finger over the needle point from all sides. (Caution: take care not to pierce the skin).
Can you feel any irregularities? If yes, then the needle is no longer intact and should be replaced.
If the needle is slightly bent, there is also a risk that it will hit the needle plate when sewing and break – we recommend changing it in this case, too.

How often should I change my needle?
We recommend that you change the needle after approx. 8 hours of sewing time.
At first glance, a sewing time of 8 hours seems very short.
So, why should you change your needle regularly?
Needles are a consumable item that is subjected to extreme stress during the sewing process.
Over time, the needle will wear out despite high-quality workmanship and special coatings, and the quality of your stitches will deteriorate.
Worn or damaged needles often lead to:
    Frayed threads or thread breakage

    Skipped stitches or uneven stitches

    Seam puckering

    Damaged textiles

    Knocking noises while sewing
